About the SMB Team:

The SMB (Small and Medium Business) organization at Flexport focuses on building scalable, self-serve platforms that help entrepreneurs and smaller enterprises manage their logistics and inventory. The team works on new-age replenishment systems, upstream inventory management, wholesale and retail order automation, and warehouse operational excellence—all core initiatives reshaping the logistics and supply chain industry after the integration of Deliverr technology.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently drive complex product features from conception to launch with minimal oversight.
• Design flexible, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• Champion coding quality and review peers' submissions with a careful balance of performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to transform business challenges into simple but robust technical solutions.
• Engage in daily deployments and contribute to continuous engineering, learning, and team knowledge sharing.
• Get hands-on with real logistics and supply-chain challenges, making a tangible impact on global commerce.

Key Technical Skills:

TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, React, Redux, Jest, Node.js, AWS, Docker, Github, Buildkite, RDS, Algolia.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in at least one major programming language (TypeScript, Java, or JavaScript preferred).
• Experience with modern software development practices: code reviews, testing, maintainability, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently when needed.
• Passion for building reliable, extendable, and high-quality products.
